Common Name: Baya Weaver (not seen in this picture) Species Name: Ploceus phillipinus Location: Bilaspur. Chhattisgarh Date Taken: 22.08.2010 Equipments: Nikon D90 + Nikkor 70-300mm AF VR Zoom Special Remarks: There are many references of Baya Weavers building their nests above water sources, but this is the first time I saw, heard or read of a nest inside a well. I could see the birds busy at the nest from a distance, but the moment I came closer with my camera , they flew off. I hid and waited for quite some time, but apparently they were in no mood to put in an appearance. In the end, I just had to satisfy myself with the picture of the empty nests.
