Hi,
A Grey-capped Pigmy Woodpecker (f) at Kakragad,Uttarakhand , India. Though a small woodpecker, it looked really pretty.We noticed that when they hammer on the tree trunk, sometimes they close their eyes , may be to avoid splinters.This bird was collecting some food from the bark.
