[BirdPhotoIndia] My hand? My foot! -3 (Flock of males)

The parakeet was using its foot to grab & turn upward the dried, drooping calyx and if it found seeds inside, then it would pluck it with its foot and feed it into its mouth - much the same way a human would use its hands. Large flocks of parakeets are seen feeding on this (American Wild Mint?) plant and on the dried seeds of the Ipomoea purpurea plants at the Bhandup Pumping Station site at this time. At the time of observation, the males and females were feeding in separate flocks.
