Species: Black Baza (Aviceda leuphotes)

Location: Thattekad, Kerala, India
Date: January 15, 2013

Equipment: Canon 7D with Canon 300mm f4 IS and 1.4x Teleconverter

That morning, we came across 5 Black Bazas in the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. They were actively feeding and would perch on the top or the mid-level of the canopy.
