A female Rufous-necked Hornbill. Several pairs are resident around Mahananda WLS near Siliguri, West Bengal. This is the westernmost distribution of this vulnerable bird and an isolated pocket of population. The nearest population to the east is perhaps in Buxa / Bhutan.
