(delhibirdpix) The Commoners - # 47.01 - Indian Silverbill (Lonchura malabarica) - 2015-079

A very common bird seen invariably in all birding trips though not

a bird seen generally in the residential areas. Have seen in my

Sector often and in fact way back in early 2000s it even made anent

in the Vernonia creeper at home.

Looks like it is making a nest at the base of the bulb shade on street

light. Hope it is successful. Would be good to monitor and record the

breeding.

It posed for me this morning.

Birds are a delight all through the year, every where and whenever - the

number of species and the number of birds vary from season to season and

from place to place.

I can see fair variety of species from my terrace and have been lucky to

spot some uncommon ones too.

This season, I am hearing all the usual ones but not seeing that many

as the Semal Tree across the house was trimmed lest it should fall, having

tilted badly. It is 'greening' again and hope next year the birds would be

back.

This guy/gal came up this morning at home.

(delhibirdpix) Which bird?

I request ID help for this bird seen in Bimbhetka cave dwellings, Madhya Pradesh, on 22nd April 2015. Brown Rock Chats being very common there, I thought it might be a juvenile. Or is it a thrush?
