[BirdPhotoIndia] Jharkhali Birds

At Jharkhali, Sunderbans yesterday - Ashy Woodswallow, Purple-rumped Sunbird, Eurasian Collared Dove, Common Kingfisher and Black Drongo.

This trip organised by Raja Chatterjee of Junglee, was undertaken to explore the potential of Jharkhali as a birding destination. We didn't find much at this time of the year but come winter and it may be worth a visit.
One interesting happening was the sighting of an Eurasian Curlew in flight. This is not the season for this bird - so is it one the few that stay back or come early. Would like to know more.
