[BirdPhotoIndia] Greater Spotted Eagle, Bangalore outskirts

A Greater Spotted Eagle dive-bombing the ducks at Hoskote lake (east of Bangalore). It was quite a sight to watch this majestic raptor swooping down on the water, suddenly changing direction despite its massive bulk. The sandpipers would scatter first, next the ducks, while the egrets and ibis were (mostly) unperturbed. 2 March 2013.
