Dear Poonia-ji,A fine picture, but several features indicate that your photo is of a subadult Indian Spotted Eagle in very worn plumage, not of a Booted eagle:
1. The median upper secondary coverts are small, not large as in Booted.2. The tertials show fine barring, and elsewhere visible barring is very narrow.
3. The "boots" are reduced instead of being prominent, and your eagle has rather thin, longish legs, both traits being suitable for wetland foraging, behavior often observed in the Indian Spotted (a Booted will take a Coot off the water but will not go wading for prey).
4. The tail does not seem long enough relative to primary projection.5. Although it's difficult to establish the head shape in your photo, it still appears flat, rather than round as in the Booted; and the neck does not seem thick enough (though it is stretched out).
6. And lastly, I have never seen a Booted in such heavily worn plumage which is the product of foraging method and habitat.Warm regards,HansOn Wed, Apr 16, 2014 at 5:54 AM, Surat Singh Poonia <suratpoonia@gmail.com> wrote:
