Many Oriental Pratincoles are breeding in a field in Rajarhat, north-east Calcutta. These two birds were so far away ( I did not attempt to go near ) that I hadn't realised I was photographing a chick with its mother. So heartening to see a specimen of the next generation. We should let them breed in peace by maintaining a distance from them rather than falling for the temptation of good close up shots.
