If anyone is heading towards Gangtok in Sikkim ask your driver to slow down about half kilometer before the entering the small town of Singtam , on the main highway to Gangtok. If you look to your left in all probability you will find this Crested chap surveying the fast flowing Teesta below this favorite perch. Sometimes it swoops down and hovers above the shallow banks of the river to catch prey.
Occasionally a pair will be sitting on the perch.
