End point at Manipal makes for a nice outing (despite the scorching heat). The range of habitats is fairly impressive with broad-leaved forested patches and scrub, thus making for sightings of species as varied as Grey-headed Bulbuls and Dark-fronted Babblers to Sirkeer Malkohas and other scrubland species (larks, pipits, etc).
This male was in the forested patch. Taken today (22nd April '10) in Manipal, Karnataka, India.

There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.
