(delhibirdpix) Birding activity this morning on my terrace

Hello all,

This morning, as usual, the sunbirds and tailorbirds were playing around on the bottlebrush and pomegrenate trees in my terrace garden. Suddenly, they all took off with alarming calls. I turned around to find a Shikra which sat there quietly for a few minutes. As I was photograhing it, a Brown-headed Barbet flew in to sit on the bottlebrush tree (which is for some reason quite dry). Soon a Red-vented Bulbul flew in to sit on the same tree and started to have an argument with the 'cool' barbet who just sat quietly and stoically. They were joined by another three Bulbuls trying to shout the Barbet out of the tree, but it just kept sitting. It was momentarily joined by its partner. After some time, the Bulbuls stopped screaming but continued to sit on the tree and soon gave up and flew away, followed by the Barbet. All along, a Eurasian Collared Dove watched the fun from 10 feet away.

I attach some images - sorry to be exceeding the limit.

Thanks.
