Just come back from a week long family trip to Sri Lanka. We covered most of the Southern Parts which included Horton's Plains, Yala, Mirissa and Beruwala. The highlights were Leopard in Yala, 3 Blue Whales in Mirissa and pelagic birds in Mirissa and Beruwala. The Beruwala trip was done along with Uditha; a well known birder in Sri Lanka. The pelagic highlights were; Great and Lessser Crested Tern, Sooty Tern, Rosette Tern, Bridal Tern, Tropical Shearwater, Brown Noddy, Pomarine and Parasitic Jagear and few unidentified species.
