[BirdPhotoIndia] Tree Duck aka Lesser Whistling Duck

Tree Duck aka Lesser Whistling Duck at Dibrugarh on 18th May 2010. This will now be a common sight for 2-3 weeks. These ducks which are usually found near water will be found perching on tree stumps and branches throughout the Tea Estate. They just love the stumps of branches the ends of which have been cut. I think their weight does not allow them to perch on the smaller branches. The next arrival that we are anxiously awaiting are the Cotton Pygmy Goose.
