[BirdPhotoIndia] Paradise Lost

Hi all,
A week earlier, Debasis Nandy and I found a pair of Paradise Flycatcher
on the river Karala embankment at Jalpaiguri. When we were busy trying to take a shot, a local
man approached us and informed that the pair had built a nest in a tree
at his courtyard. The birds were well protected at his place,he said. He  took care so
that nobody disturbed the couple. We were fascinated by his love for birds. When we
visited the place again today, we only had only a fleeting glimpse of the birds one or
two times, which is very unnatural if it has a nest nearby. We again meet the man
and asked about the birds. We were told that only the other day, the chicks fell from
the nest and died.Heartbroken, the pair left the nest and now seldom visit the place.
We only hope now that the pair may try their luck to raise
their chicks again so that the paradise is 'regained'!

Regards
