(delhibirdpix) Fwd: The Regulatory Framework for Wetland Conservation - Feedback

Forwarded below are my suggestions given to the MOEF on the subject. A File is enclosed which gives the draft of the Regulatory Framework.

To my mind, it is death-knell for small wetlands which are proposed to be regulated by District Lever Authority comprising mainly of DM and District Staff, Two Reps of Panchayats and Two Reps of NGOs.  The Local Nexus would kill any wetland like it has happened for Dadri Wetlands that you have all seen.

A WETLAND IS A WETLAND AND NEEDS TO BE LEFT ALONE AND CONSERVED AS SUCH.

Please go through the draft and write to the concerned your views before 21st June.
