A Great Crested Grebe, Podiceps cristatus in its summer quarters in Zurich, Switzerland on 23 June 2010.
Many migrant (and the ones visiting India) Grebes, Gulls and Anseriformes are seen in and around the Zurich Lake and all of them are friendly. Expecting a few bread crumbs they come as close as 2-3 feet, but the GC Grebe is strangely wary of humans and maintains a distance.
Ciao,
Devashish
