Need help in identification of these birds. Number 1 and 2 are of the
same bird taken at the end of May of this year. There were about 4 or
5 of these birds behind the Tourist Lodge / Gymkhana area and I
photographed them from a distance while walking up towards Mahakal
Mandir. They were darting in and out under the roof. Probably had a
nest somewhere. The owl picture I made just after crossing Teesta
Bazaar and starting the climb towards Darjeeling. I think it is an
Asian Barred Owlet which is seen often around our home and garden in
Kalimpong. However, this chap looks a bit different.
