Hi Sumitji, attaching another shot (out-of-focus, unfortunately) - there is a marked yellow band below the eye,which is what led me to think Jungle Bush Quail...pls take a look.
This was shot inside Kambalakonda WLS in Vizag, which is predominantly small hills with some dry trees and a lot of scrub; the steps seen lead to a sort of view-point.
