(delhibirdpix) The Commoners - # 82.02 - Bay-Backed Shrike (Lanius vittatus) - 2010-208

It was great to see two juveniles of Bay-Backed Shrike and posing
nicely. The mother was seen feeding even though the bird itself had a
prey right with in striking distance from where it was perched. Does
this prey (?) constitute their food ?

Taken at Najafgarh Jheel, south-west of Delhi.

Cheers.
