[BirdPhotoIndia] Prinia hodgsonii

On a 300 plus kilometer trip from Bolpur-Massanjore-Maluti-Bolpur circuit covering different bird habitats that were so full of potential, we saw barely forty birds - this Grey-Breasted Prinia being the star of the show.On the Rampurhat road, two White Wagtails were seen. 11th-12th October'10.
The village of Maluti however had splendid terracotta temples founded by a dynasty whose founder was one Basanta Ray ( popularly known as 'Baaj' Basanta ! ) who had retrieved a lost pet hawk of Sultan Alauddin Hussain Shah of Gaur (1495-1525) and in return was given a tax-free kingdom of some area now around Dumka in the Jharkhand-Bengal border !! Ah ! the power of birds !
