this lorikeet-like bird was perched in the balcony of my house for a couple of minutes today evening. as i was not at home, my mother Mrs Sulabha Chakravarty took some pics with her mobile phone camera (hence please excuse the poor quality). the fact that the bird allowed her to get very close to itself suggests its tolerance for humans and that it might have escaped/been released recently from captivity. please help with the identification. thanks in advance,
rohan.
