7th November 2010 at Dibrugarh, Assam. This warbler was foraging on the
ground on a marshy patch right next to a pool of water. It would flee into
the grasses when it saw me but would come back to the same patch of land
again. Lots of Dusky Warblers around but the finer bill without the
prominent pale lower mandible makes me think that this is a Smoky. Also it
seemed more comfortable on the ground as compared to the Dusky Warblers
which seem to prefer the undergrowth and tall grasses. The call was also
different.
