Hello all,
Happy Diwali! We spent it on the train back to Delhi.
Two days at Harike yielded close to a 100 birds even though it was too early for most star birds to have arrived. We did however catch fleeting glimpses of our two target birds - Rufous Vented Prinia and even more fleetingly, the White Crowned Penduline Tit. The sure Eurasian Eagle Owl has found better ravines, it seemed as it was not to be found where it has been all these months.
Here is an image of a surprise Common Starling sitting on the wire with 2 others, and 3 Bank Mynas. Will send some ID requests straight after this message.
Cheers!
