Hello all,
I spent today morning watching these two birds feeding on the nectar of Erythrina flowers in our property( outskirts of Kalimpong, 4000ft above msl, West Bengal). Since these trees have been flowering for the last fifteen days we have been entertained with bird sounds the whole day. Most vocal are the Black Bulbuls followed by Drongos and Great Barbets and Blue Throated Barbets. Flocks of Whiskered Yuhina and many other birds have been visiting. I have never seen the birds pictured here in our area before. One had a dark throat and the other of a lighter coloration. Starlings?
