Hi,
Northern Pintails were ubiquitous at Mangalajodi,Orissa India. They sat almost hidden in the golden grassland but whenever a Marsh Harrier flied over them, like bullets fired, they immediately took to the sky. Except in television, I had never seen ducks sitting in a flat grassland by hundreds. It was an amazing sight. There were also Ruddy Shelducks but in much lesser number and a handful of Shovellers, Common Teal and Spot-billed Ducks.
Shot on 29.1.11.
Thanks,
Maitreyee
