At one of the birding sessions around Sattal, our guide led us into someone's backyard (ostensibly after taking permission) where we were greeted by a flock of white-crested laughingthrushes, which were forgotten in an instant as the guide pointed out a Eurasian woodcock foraging at the edges. This is the best shot I could manage as it soon disappeared into the forest behind. April 11th 2011.
Cheers,
Garima
