Another Himalayan Monal shot just before an approaching snowfall at 10,500 feet at Tunganath,Uttarakhand, India on 10th April,2011.
It was foraging among snow and dry grass on the icefield.Sometimes it was digging deep in the ice, ploughing or drawing a deep, long line with the help of its bill or scratching the snow with its feet in search of food just like a domestic fowl.Its dazzling presence was a lifetime experience that will surely be an everlasting memory in my mind!
