Hi,
We started very early that day praying to Lord Tungnath for Monal sighting. We had to cross many dark, dense forests on our way. It was near Ukhimath ( > 1300 mts) when a Kalij pheasant ( sub sp.hamiltonii) couple crossed our path. The light condition was very poor but when the male jumped on a roadside pillar, we got a clear view of it.
