[BirdPhotoIndia] Painted Bush-quail | Munnar

Dear all:

An extremely handsome quail though looks like a brown scurrying ball till you look them through a long lens! An Indian endemic which prefers grassy mountain slopes (a lot of which is currently tea plantation) across the Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats. This is the male with a black face, white brow and throat and striking red bill and legs. Will post images of the female and chicks soon!
