Hello fellow members
Few days back I took a photo of a bird at CKBS. Being very new to this hobby, I found other fellow watchers referring the bird as "Great Tit". Later I checked with Wikipedia and found that this may be known as Cinereous Tit. In one map showing the distribution of different species of this Parus family bird, it is shown that Cinereous Tit is found in Indian subcontinent.
Here are the links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Tit

Please understand that I am far from being an expert in this subject, I am just a newly joined hobbyist. So if I have made any mistake in understanding do correct me please. More so, when it is known that wikipedia may always not be the most authentic source for information, and hence my decision to post here. On the other hand if I have understood correctly, then is it really being called "Cinereous Tit" instead of "Great Tit"?
Thank you.
