Hi,
A Fire-tailed Sunbird was almost resident at our rest house at Kolakham (Darjeeling,India ) but since we were out watching other birds, we did not see it many times. There was a continuous light shower when it came to sip nectar from some yellow-orange flowers. Afterwards, looking at these record shots, I noticed the very sad condition of its feet and it made our minds more depressed in that already gloomy ambience .Shot in the afternoon on 24.4.2011
