(delhibirdpix) Black-crowned Sparrow-lark (Female)

Species: Black-crowned Sparrow Lark (Eremopterix nigriceps)
Family:  Alaudidae
Location: Tal Chapar Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajasthan, India
Date: April 05, 2011

Equipment: Canon 7D with Canon 300mm f4 IS & 1.4x TC

Description: This was a bird that I'd dreamed of seeing and shooting since I started birding. Thanks to the dynamic Mr.Poonia, I got much more than I'd bargained for. A birding experience of a lifetime as I, along with Mr.P.M.Laad, watched and photographed this family. The juvenile had fledged and was capable of flying short distances. The female kept feeding the juvenile while the male kept a watch.

Cheers,
Shreeram
