(delhibirdpix) Indian Roller with a Wasp

On this particular day, the bird activity was very low, so we were sitting by a road cutting and were watch a group of Social Wasp, digging out their nests.

There were around 15 individual wasps out their doing their routine activity of digging the earth.

Suddenly this Roller landed there and picked up every individual within 2 minutes. It landed so close with a 500mm lens I could only get this.

You can even see a part of the earth still held by that wasp.
