Hi
visited Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary today with birder friend Debarshi Chakraborty , and we spotted this lone Rufous woodpecker...which was busy hammering the rotten bark of an old mango tree. The bird refused to come out in the open. So we cudnt get any decent shot of this seldom seen denizen of CKBS.
