Hi,
Yesterday, I posted an image of a Russet Sparrow -female with a peculiar red patch on its throat. Some are of the opinion that it might be the pollens only. Today I am posting some more images of Russet Sparrows from that area. I found this male had a similar red throat and the colour of the forehead and crown matches very well with the throat. It seems it had a smaller black mark on the throat as compared to the usual ones. May be the pollens and the angle of the image played the trick but I am not very sure. Experts kindly comment.
