Hi,
I think it was a Russet Sparrow -female but the red patch in the throat is quite intriguing. I consulted my two guide books and the oriental birding database but nowhere I am finding this red patch :-/ It can not be pollens either. So getting slightly confused about its id. Could anybody kindly throw some light regarding this ?
Shot near the river Mandakini,Kakragad,India on 12th April'11.
