At Kanha we chanced upon a slumbering White-throated Kingfisher that was too sleepy to mind our presence so close to it. At one point it stirred, out came its tucked in tail, the eyes opened for a brief while and then sleep descended upon it again - all this happening barely five feet away !
One of those birding moments one will remember.
