This male was displaying at a fair distance but in the open. I saw the
female today for the first time through the binocs but she was too far away
for the camera. The male emits a deep guttural call and is literally on his
knees at some stage of the display. While they obviously prefer a higher
ground for this display I have seen them do it almost hidden in the grass
too. Have also seen 2 males put on a competitive display once but rivals
seem to maintain a distance when a dominant male is going through his
routine.
