At Nature Farms, near Jaipur, Rajasthan on 20th June 2011. This bird was one of a pair of Blue- cheeked Bee-Eaters seen in a very sandy area. They had a nest in a hole in the sandbank into which one bird disappeared while the other kept watch nearby. I think they are breeding, though Grimmett states that the Blue-cheekeds is a summer visitor and passage migrant. Incidentally I saw another pair mating on the electric wire, so obviously breeding happens during this period. Would greatly appreciate if anyone can clarify this aspect abt these beautiful birds.
