(delhibirdpix) Birding in Grasslands of south west Delhi

Hi  all birders,

On  28th August , I  , as my  casual  outing ,explored  the  grasslands of  South-West Delhi ( which gave  the  perfect glimpse  of  a country side with calmness all around , but are  just on  mercy  of urban  development for  their existance, they  look so  good with high grass , variety  of  reeds and  undisturbed life  forms,  though no   water body is there )  , and the day  was  great for  me  spotting two common birds  I  haven't  seen before  ( except in the  group  posting) -  White  eye  buzzard  and  Wire tailed  swallow  among  some  other  commoners like :

Indian  pond heron
Common sandpiper
Red wattled lapwing
Green  beeeaters
Black  drongo
Cattle  egret
Greater coucal
White  throated kingfisher
Asian pied  starling
Ashy prinia
Indian  peafowl
Common myna
Bank  Myna

Bee eaters were so appealing  , making  frequent  moves  up  and  down catching  the  feed.Same  was  the  case with drongos.
Wire tailed  swallow  was so  fast in the  sky making it impossible to  capture. White  eye  buzzard just  gave  me  only  enough time  to  capture  a  distant  view.  Overall , seeing  the  buzzard  and  swallow  made  my  day  a  success.

Cheers,

J
