 hi   all---  monkeys  are a big menace -- at the entrance to the steps  towards  duck point --the monkeys came for us  thank god  sanjay was there -  the male  monkey caught hold  of rita's bag  and  started pulling   and biting it   thinking it had food --  one should   not  venture alone whether  man or  woman --  there were many inside the  the park who had    similar stories to relate- to us--- thank god sanjay  with a stick threatened it and  we started walking-with each  one of us   armed with a stick.- yes we did see 2 bonellis,  1 MArsh harrier ,  2   white eyed  buzzard s--saw the eurasian   cuckoo  heard the common hawk cuckoo--    golden orioles ---asian paradise fly catchers  one white  male and  couple of  rufous male and one female- eurasian curlew, godwit,  open billed stork - red shank-wood sand pipers -- plovers,kentish and little ringed - stints ,temmincks and  little stint and ruffs 100 comb ducks--   3black rumped   flame back   wood peckers,  -lessr white throats  , greennish  warblers,  humes warbler  , pintails , shovellers,  and  a  flock of about 100  blue cheeked beeaters   all lying flat on the hot sun drenched ground   probably collecting at that  spot to take off at an opportune time  as  grimmet says  that  they are passage migrants and summer visitors  Pakistan and NW india,-- bay back shrike -  and  of course the usual ones that we normally always see --
