Juvenile because I have not seen any bird with this plumage - this much black on the head, no markings on throat and breast and it did not fly off when the other adult birds took off when a motor-cylist went tearing off.
Black-breasted - Black on the Head might get dull in due course and the other birds in that place were Black-Breasted with well defined features.
Taken on 18th at Dadri Wetlands, 40 kms S-E of Delhi.
