I made a short visit to Lodi gardens (15 min walk from my house) this morning and was rewarded with all the species I had set out to see.
The area surrounding the park was alive with Ashy Drongos. A total of 8 Ashy Drongos kept spirits high with their their non-stop antics. At the water body there were 15+ Indian Cormorants drying themselves in the sun. On spotting me they took to the water and started feeding.
And then the star of Lodi Gardens...an Oriental Turtle Dove feeding on the sides of a path near the lake. My day was made!
Hope to visit the park once more in this week.
