(delhibirdpix) The Migratory Birds of Prey - # 02.10 - Eurasian Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) - 2011-214

Made a visit to Dadri Wetlands on 29th October. The path is clear to reach interior portions and have look at the large groups of Waterfowl numbering upwards of 15000 but not as much as last year when the water bodies were much larger owing to heavy rains (floods at the wetland).

Yet it was great fun the whisper of 30000 wings was great when the flocks took off.

There were at least six Marsh Harriers, An Aquila and three Common Kestrels.

Here is one Marsh Harrier enjoying the mild cool of the morning and let me approach pretty close.

Cheers.
