Why do you think this is "melanogrisea"? It is always helpful to present your reasons when claiming rare or unusual records.
In fact the main characteristic of this sub-species is its lack of a supercilium on a very black crown, cheeks and nape, not features shown in these pics. The generally accepted, current authority on wagtails (Alstrom and Mild) subsumes melanogrisea into feldegg, the Black-headed Wagtail.
This bird has all the features of tshutchensis (perhaps of the subsumed type zaissanensis) which is now called Eastern Yellow Wagtail and is probably a full species. It breeds in eastern Siberia east to Alaska and winters mostly in SE Asia west to Myanmar and NE India including Bengal.

Hivisited a marshland near Kalikapur in Kolkata last Sunday with my friend Mr.Debarshi, and we were fortunate to get few shots of the rare winter migrant- the Turkestan Black-headed Wagtail (Motacilla flava melanogrisea)- a subspecies of the yellow wagtail. There are previous records of this race from Kolkata, but it is seldom spotted. It breeds in the Volga delta around the Caspian sea, and northern Afghanistan.regardsShantanu.--
