(delhibirdpix) Water Pipit Anthus spinoletta

Spent a day in Tal Chapar.

The guest house is ready and is a humongous, very pretty building with
amphi theatre, galleries, dining hall etc. Then you go inside a room
and the world changes - the rooms are unkept, with zero maintenance.
The bathrooms have probably never been cleaned since it was made, the
same is the case with the linen - Filthy in one word. Blankets are
smelling. I understand a delhibirder has promised to take up the guest
house and make it clean and hospitable. So hopefully by the next visit
the insides will be just as nice as the outsides. However the food was
excellent - there is a local maharaj from the village and makes the
most fantastic Rajasthani specialities.

Activity at the park was slow. No sign of the buff bellied pipit or
the Yellow eyed Pigeons. Also looked for the Spotted Tree creeper, but
no luck.
Raptors were a lone Lagar and a few Montague's Harriers. Of great
interest were the Water Pipits and Eurasian Skylarks

Also of interest were 29 Demoiselle Cranes
