(delhibirdpix) Yamuna Khadar-Near Wazirapur-

The morning fog did not stop the birders from gathering at the Majnu Ka Tila. A trip to the Yamuna Khadar lead by Surya and Col Mohan. We reahed the meeting point by 0930 hrs-starting the day with hot tea at the tea stall. The fog persisted and we proceeded to the jagatpur village site for the Red Crested Pochards. The place did not disappoint us. About 50 RCPs in the area. Flock of Gulls  and cormorants in the distance, River lapwing close by with Larks and pipits.
The fog continued and we moved to the location next to the river down stream.  At least a 1000 + gulls, wagtails, Sandpipers, stints, House sparrows, River Lapwing, 30- odd Ruddy Shelducks, Rufous tailed shrike, pipit and larks.
A trip has been planned for the 29 two groups, one meeting at Majnu Ka Tila at 1330 hrs and the second at 1430hrs
The following birders were present. List given by Surya.
