[BirdPhotoIndia] Indicator xanthonotus

Around Makkumath, Uttaranchal, on a huge rock face, beehives keep a few Yellow-rumped Honeyguides hovering over them to feed on the wax from the honeycombs. In the summer season I had seen drongos posing as aggressive competitors and this time in December it was a Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush that wouldn't allow the honeyguides to go near the hive. The latter did however take every opportunity to land on the hive and feed on it as fast as they could ! Goings-on that can be watched for hours.
